Name: A Child’s Introduction to Mammals of Maine - February 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm FREE
Date: February 9, 2019
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM EST
A variety of pelts will be available for children to see, touch, and smell. Through a series of physically active simulations we will become acquainted with animal habitats and needs for food, water, shelter, and space. For example, during a variation of “tag” children will experience the predator-prey relationship and benefit to conserve natural environments. The activities are ideally suited for 6-10 year olds. Special needs children welcome. Teens and parents are encouraged to supervise during the games. Tomas Dundzila is a Registered Maine Guide and experienced Scout leader who enjoys exploring the outdoors with young people. This program is free and open to the public at Eliot Hall on the Schoodic Institute campus. Call 207-288-1356 for more info.
