With the goal of making Mount Desert Island energy independent by 2030, A Climate to Thrive (ACTT) has catalyzed a renewable renaissance on MDI and recently won a grant to extend its vision to the State House. Learn about how this start-up non-profit doubled solar capacity on MDI with 76 new solar installs in 2017, is working with all four towns and MDI High School to go 100% solar electricity, is building a Downeast EV charging network, and much more. Joe Blotnick, ACTT Co-Coordinator, presents October’s Brown Bag on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 12 Noon – 1:00 PM in Moore Auditorium on the Institute campus. Free and open to the public.
