Event Description:
Schoodic Institute CEO Don Kent will speak on “Next Generation Conservation in Parks and Communities” on May 29 at 4 p.m. at the Winter Harbor Public Library. Kent has worked on conservation projects in government, nonprofit and private sectors, and has a Ph.D. in biology with concentrations in ecology, evolution and behavior from Boston University. He has taught ecology, mammalogy, genetics, field biology and invertebrate zoology, and will engage the audience in a discussion of the exciting research at Schoodic Institute and “creating healthy and prosperous parks, communities, and societies.” Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Open to the public.
